Confrontation with authoritarians is not new for democracies. But how do we shake our societies out of strategic lethargy and complacency about the nature and scale of the threat?
With respect Sir, I would argue that we (Canada) absolutely have a quasi-authoritarian regime, that *is* a threat, to our immediate south. They have the capability, have openly stated they can/would annex us, and I see no reason to doubt the intent behind that.
