I am baffled, that anybody believes blanket bombings of civilian targets work. Hitler tried it. Reinforcing support for Churchill. The scene in the film, on the tube. Showed the spirit of real people. When faced with adversity.
Phillips O'Brien has just posted a long form off this Twitter account analysing the resources Germany dedicated to counter Allied bombing. If you reverse engineer those figures, you'll get some idea of what the Germans thought of the impact of the bombing campaign.
Given the Russian strategy is to prolong the war as much as possible, it does seem Ukraine's best shot will be to continue advancing, before the Russians are able to reconstitute their forces. The Ukrainians certainly have momentum; they will be hoping that morale breaks on the Russian side due to the winter conditions + relentless artillery.
If the US and the Western nations gave Ukraine what it needed like the ATACMS, Leopard tanks (Abrams are too big and Leopards can be repaired in neighbouring countries), then this conflct could be ended sooner than later. I just think that Ukraine is not being given what it needs because the West is scared to back Russia into a corner. Just how NATO responded to the missile landing inside Poland, blaming it on Ukraine. That was a Russian missile.
Don't you find the Poland missile explosion coordinates coincidental & how Ukraine is not allowed access to the scene?
Kyiv : 50.4501N, 30.5234E
Lviv : 49.842957N, 24.031E
Polish village : 50.4501N, 24.031E
Better to avoid a confrontation and instead blame it on Ukraine, but what this does is embolden russia, because now they know Nato is not looking for conflict, further embossing Putin and the Kremlin.

US bombing of civilians in Japan led to the end of the war and total Japanese capitulation. It clearly was effective.
Ironically the allies responded in kind in both Europe and Japan. Often with equally morally questionable operations.
To be honest I have never looked into how effective those allies operations in changing the course of WW2.
